MicStand.io: The New Essential App for Stand-Up Comedians

What is MicStand.io?

As comedians, we are constantly hunting for our next set. Trying to keep track of open mics, booked showcases, and which venues are hosting what on any given night can feel like a full-time job.

That’s exactly why my good friend Johnny-Cat developed MicStand.io!

MicStand is a brand-new platform built from the ground up specifically for the comedy community. Its goal is simple but incredibly powerful: to help you find comedy shows, performers, and events in your local scene.

How MicStand Helps Comedians

Whether you’re just starting out and hitting your first open mics, or you’re a seasoned comic looking to expand your reach, MicStand offers some amazing tools to make your life easier:

• Discover Local Open Mics & Shows: No more scrolling through outdated Facebook groups or relying on word-of-mouth. MicStand aims to be the centralized hub for finding out exactly where and when you can get on stage.
• Connect with Other Performers: Comedy is a community. MicStand helps you find other comics in your scene, making it easier to network, collaborate, and support each other.
• Promote Your Own Events: If you’re running a room or hosting a showcase, you can use the platform to get the word out and attract both performers and audience members.

Built by a Comic, For Comics

What I love most about MicStand is that it was built by someone who actually understands the grind. Johnny-Cat knows firsthand the struggles comedians face when trying to organize their schedules and find stage time. He’s poured that knowledge into creating an app that solves real problems for us.

I highly recommend checking it out. Head over to MicStand.io, create a profile, and start exploring what it has to offer. Let’s support the tools that support our community!

Big shoutout to Johnny-Cat for putting this together. I can’t wait to see how it grows and helps all of our local stand-up comedy scenes thrive!
